whats this about the big hOoHa about blogging??? anyways. i must learn to be more discrete- which is rather ironic. oh well. let me bring you back to about a week ago...
sarah and i came up with this FANTABULOUS idea of baking a cake for hjune's birthday. hehe. thus, we went to Tiong Baru to get cake ingredients. ahh. after taking the train to and fro a few times, we decided to go to HB and take a bus back, carrying with us the "few kgs" of flour, sugar, butter, EGGS....
upon reaching home, we started baking. 1st try : forgot to put butter. darn. the choc coating : we bought cooking choc which was supposed to be baked and melted IN the cake, and not to be poured OVER. so how? came out lumpy lor.
after that was rather smooth sailing. we got the mixture right the second time, and re-made the choc coating with CORRECT ingredients sponsored by my mum. ah well. besides all these "chou3 shi4", i think we should be given some credit... at least for the decoration?? hehe. of course, its june's cake. how could we not have HIS face on HIS cake?? LOL. icing sugar was used to draw the outline of la4 bi3 xiao3 xin1, and extra cake was used to give a 3D effect on its features. kewl huh?
i dare say, the cake was a huge success. compliments from as far as NJC were given. hehe. jasmine wants the recipe and moses wants to learn from mio. awsome. doesnt it feel great to have urself credited for your hard work?
